An Ode to Woven Fields II

We are pleased to present an exhibition of paintings by acclaimed Canadian Colour Field painter William Perehudoff, bringing together works spanning more than three decades of his prolific career.

Beginning with works from as early as 1972, a period when Perehudoff’s career was gaining momentum and his work was receiving increasing recognition beyond Canada, the exhibition follows the evolution of his practice through the 1980s, including his celebrated gel medium paintings, and into the 1990s and 2000s, when he increasingly explored crisp forms and vibrant colour variations of his hard-edge paintings. Together, these works offer a look at the development of one of Canada’s important Colour Field painters across an accomplished period of artistic production.
